Job Summary

The Delaware National Bank of Delhi is seeking a seasoned Senior Loan Officer to lead our lending operations and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing credit portfolios, managing lending staff, and evaluating credit risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee all aspects of lending operations, including commercial, consumer, mortgage, and small business lending, to maintain a balanced and diversified loan portfolio.
  • Risk Management: Implement robust risk management practices to mitigate credit, operational, and compliance risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Business Development: Lead business development initiatives to expand the bank's lending footprint, cultivate new client relationships, and capitalize on growth opportunities in the local market.
  • Credit Underwriting: Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the credit underwriting process, ensuring sound lending decisions, prudent risk assessment, and adherence to credit policies.
  • Credit Analysis: Review and analyze all pertinent credit and financial information, including financial statements, tax returns, credit bureaus, appraisals, internal credit information, industry research, and peer data.
  • Board Reporting: Manage and prepare Allowance for Credit Losses and various other reports. Attend monthly board meetings.
  • People Management: Supervise a team of 10 lenders and mortgage department personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience in senior leadership roles within commercial banking, with a focus on lending operations and credit risk management.
  • Strong understanding of lending products, underwriting principles, lending regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
