Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified Research Assistant Professor to join the Department of Anesthesiology. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Principal Investigator in developing and implementing research projects, collecting and analyzing data for grant and paper submission, and writing and submitting papers.
  • Contribute to the intellectual environment of the lab by participating in lab meetings, relevant journal clubs, attending seminars, and training students and fellows.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in neuroscience, biology, or a related biomedical science field with at least 3 years of postdoctoral training experience. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential.

Extensive knowledge in neuroscience and experience with rodent models are prerequisites. A background in clinical research and/or experience with Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes is advantageous. Animal behavioral testing, animal surgical skills, and prior experience in manuscript and grant writing are ideal.
