Position Overview

Kids On The Move, Inc. (KOTM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the growth of young children and their families. Our mission is to empower families, one child at a time, through various essential services.

KOTM is currently looking for a part-time Culinary Coordinator to contribute to the nutritional needs of our Child Care program. The primary role involves preparing nutritious meals that align with the standards set by the CACFP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks for all children in the Child Care program, adhering strictly to a pre-approved menu.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's food allergies, collaborating with educators and program staff to ensure the information is up-to-date and correct.
  • Comply with Licensing regulations, including thorough documentation of food purchases, menu planning, meal service tracking, and any additional required paperwork.
  • Oversee kitchen organization and cleanliness, which includes tasks such as disposing of packaging, cleaning utensils, sweeping, mopping, and managing laundry.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Current Serve Safe Certification and Food Handler's Permit.
