Job Title: RN Lead, Infusion

At US Oncology, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to lead our infusion team. As a RN Lead, Infusion, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our nursing and clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and adherence to national and company standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in overseeing clinical operations for nursing and clinical support activities
  • Provide staff training and in-service instruction
  • Determine staffing requirements and maintain effective nursing staff coverage
  • Participate in interviewing and recruiting of nursing personnel
  • Assist with review and revision of clinical policies and procedures
  • Verify correct coding and charge capture
  • Assist with annual performance evaluations of nursing and clinical staff
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the continuity of care
  • Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician
  • Program portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery and provide instruction to patients and caregivers
  • Assess health status, collect and record nursing assessment and interventions, and review and report results to the provider
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients and families
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred
  • Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of five (5) years of RN experience
  • One year of supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred
  • Oncology experience is strongly preferred
  • Oncology certification preferred
  • Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy provider card preferred
