RN Lead, Infusion Specialist

At US Oncology, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to lead our infusion team. As a RN Lead, Infusion, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our nursing and clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and adherence to national and company standards.
Responsibilities:- Assist in overseeing clinical operations for nursing and clinical support activities
- Provide staff training and in-service instruction
- Determine staffing requirements and maintain effective nursing staff coverage
- Participate in interviewing and recruiting of nursing personnel
- Assist with review and revision of clinical policies and procedures
- Verify correct coding and charge capture
- Assist with annual performance evaluations of nursing and clinical staff
- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the continuity of care
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician
- Program portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery and provide instruction to patients and caregivers
- Assess health status, collect and record nursing assessment and interventions, and review and report results to the provider
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of five (5) years of RN experience
- One year of supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred
- Oncology experience is strongly preferred
- Oncology certification preferred
- Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy provider card preferred
