About the Role

The Kitchen Assistant/Bus Driver is an integral part of our Health and Safety team, reporting to the School Director. We are looking for someone with a passion for attention to detail who works with early childhood students and has a clear focus on helping to grow and make the business successful.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks in a timely manner while following proper sanitation procedures as required by local and state agencies.
  • Adequately label, handle, and serve food for children with allergies.
  • Inventory food and paper items weekly and order accordingly within budget guidelines.
  • Effectively use storage units and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Consistently apply problem-solving skills to increase productivity, maintain working relationships, and maintain cost control.
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment at all times.
Requirements
  • At least 25 years of age or older.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility or food handling service.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all current State and Local regulations.
