Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Houstonian Campus LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, diagnosing and repairing issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our culinary facilities.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to utilize their skills and knowledge in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will work closely with our culinary team to identify and resolve equipment-related issues, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and contribute to the overall success of our campus operations.

Responsibilities
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on kitchen equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with kitchen equipment, including cooking appliances, dishwashers, and other related systems.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, adhering to health codes and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to identify equipment-related issues and implement solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in field maintenance, preferably in commercial kitchen settings.
  • Licenses and Certifications: EPA refrigerant handling certification required.
Physical Demands

The successful candidate must be able to meet the following physical demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing of ladders and stairs, kneeling, crawling on hands and knees, reaching overhead, lifting and carrying various objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Work safely and effectively in outdoor temperatures, including those above 100 degrees Fahrenheit and below 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Occasional driving required, with a valid Texas Driver's License and good driving record.
Benefits
