Position Overview:
Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is seeking qualified Optometrists to deliver essential eye care services within a correctional healthcare environment. The selected Optometrist will operate under the guidelines of their professional practice and adhere to the policies and procedures established by the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely scheduling and delivery of Optometry services based on assessed needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive examinations, provide accurate diagnoses, and prescribe appropriate treatments and corrective measures.
  • Facilitate referrals for specialized consultations, treatments, or surgical interventions as authorized by facility leadership.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
  • Administer visual assessments and manage conditions such as allergies and infections, utilizing approved diagnostic and therapeutic agents.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 12 months of relevant experience within the past three years.
  • Possession of a valid and current Optometry license issued by the state of California.
  • Submission of two professional references.
