Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Maintenance Specialist to join our team at The Susan Horak Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our commercial properties' HVAC systems.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, with experience working on commercial construction developments. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC systems, including regular inspections and troubleshooting
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment
  • Repairing and replacing thermostats, as needed
  • Inspecting and diagnosing HVAC issues, identifying and addressing potential problems before they become major issues
  • Replacing basic parts within the furnace or exterior condenser unit, as required
  • Keeping accurate records of work performed at each location, including time spent on site and materials used

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • A strong working knowledge of all construction principles and safety standards
  • Experience with recharging exterior condenser units and maintaining mini-splits (preferably)
  • An HVAC license (preferably)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced environment, often at multiple sites per day. You must be comfortable working at heights and lifting heavy loads up to 70 pounds, as well as navigating construction terrain and performing set-up and clean-up at job sites.


Compensation
