As a Sales Development Representative at Graybar, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and revenue expansion. Your primary responsibility will be to develop new business opportunities and maintain existing customer relationships to promote and sell Graybar's products.
Key Responsibilities- Meet or exceed assigned annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling products in assigned territory in compliance with Graybar's pricing policies.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively, and report potential claims.
- Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
- Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed, and recommend new items for stock.
- Maintain current customer records, files, and reports of business transactions; assist in collection of past due accounts.
- Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
- Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or a related field.
- 4-year degree preferred.
- Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to learn Graybar's business and work independently to achieve goals.
- Ability to sell and be persuasive.
- Extensive travel required, including some overnight travel.
The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $50,000.00 annually, subject to increase based on experience. The position is also eligible for sales incentives, based on specific and relevant business metrics.
