Position Summary: The Aviation Maintenance Quality Inspector is responsible for upholding the highest standards of inspection and compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft and components, ensuring all work meets Cessna's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date repository of FAA specifications, certificate data sheets, and airworthiness directives.
- Perform regular checks on tools and calibration of precision testing equipment as per the Overhaul Manuals and FAA Repair Station Manuals.
- Inspect and accept incoming materials, including new and repaired parts, in accordance with quality and repair station protocols.
- Ensure proper tagging and identification of all components throughout the maintenance process.
- Review inspection records and procedures for adherence to quality standards.
- Utilize various technical publications, including Textron and Vendor Maintenance Manuals, to support inspection activities.
- Familiarize oneself with Required Inspection Item (RII) requirements and the Master Equipment List (MEL).
- Conduct periodic aircraft walkaround surveys to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Organize and maintain inspection files and completed work orders for efficient review.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with an A&P License. A minimum of three years of diverse A&P mechanic experience, particularly with jet and turboprop aircraft, is essential.
