Position Overview
This role is for a full-time faculty member at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level within the Inpatient Psychiatry Services at the University of Vermont Health Network.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team comprising psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct patient care in a state-of-the-art 12-bed adult inpatient unit.
  • Leading the inpatient team and overseeing care in the emergency department.
  • Consulting on medical-surgical services.

Educational Role
This position also involves significant educational responsibilities, including:

  • Training medical students during their clerkships and electives.
  • Participating in residency and fellowship programs.

Qualifications
Applicants must possess a medical degree and be eligible for a Vermont medical license. Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry is required. Fellowship training and experience in inpatient settings are highly desirable.
