We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cytotechnologist to join our Clinical Laboratory Unit at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert cytology and histology services to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Evaluate specimens microscopically for aberrant and atypical cellular features, and provide accurate and timely results.
- Perform various Anatomic Pathology procedures and enter patient samples into Laboratory Information Systems.
- Develop and revise cytopathology manuals and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collect and analyze data for cytology quality control and maintain quality assurance records.
- Provide expert interpretation of gynecologic and non-gynecological specimens, and perform molecular testing for Human Papillomavirus.
- Possession of a valid License as a Cytotechnologist issued by the State of California Department of Health.
- Three (3) years of full-time or its equivalent experience in a laboratory performing cytologic tests and analysis.
