Job Title: Director of API Sales and Marketing

At Teva Pharmaceuticals, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of API Sales and Marketing to join our team. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for managing API sales and marketing activities in the North American Region and generating new business opportunities with allocated customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage API sales and marketing activities in the North American Region
  • Generate new business opportunities with allocated customers
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to meet or exceed work plan sales goals
  • Identify and develop new opportunities and re-evaluate existing opportunities
  • Travel throughout the defined territories to maximize sales and meet target number of visits
  • Manage defined accounts with back office customer service, marketing, finance, and logistical support
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the product line and understanding of customer needs
  • Cultivate and maintain close contact with key information sources and stay current on new technological innovations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, ideally Chemistry
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 4 years API sales or business development experience
  • Experience identifying opportunities and executing on them in an expeditious manner
  • Knowledge of international competition, business requirements, dynamics, and trade regulations
  • Ability to travel 25 to 30%, primarily domestic, with occasional international travel
