Electrical Systems Specialist Role Overview

Bode, a distinguished multifamily development firm, is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in various settings, including residential and commercial multi-family buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to relevant codes and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout and wiring of electrical systems.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify hazards, defects, or malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
  • Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring manual labor and working in various conditions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Working Conditions:
  • The Electrician may work indoors or outdoors, depending on the project.
  • They may be exposed to various weather conditions and environments.
  • The work may involve climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces.
  • Electricians often work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially for emergency repairs or construction projects with tight deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • We offer a competitive salary range of $42-$55 per hour, based on experience.
