As a Communications Security Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring secure communication channels for critical operations.
Your responsibilities will encompass performing and overseeing essential preventive maintenance checks and services on a range of equipment, including radios, transmitters, communication security devices, and related technology. You'll be responsible for calibrating and aligning equipment components, utilizing test, measurement, and diagnostic tools to maintain peak performance.
Troubleshooting and repairing equipment will be a key aspect of your role. This involves testing program sets and leveraging interactive electronic technical manuals to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Training & Certification:
- Access over 85 nationally recognized certifications.
- Undergo 10 weeks of comprehensive Basic Training (paid).
- Complete 21 weeks of specialized Advanced Individual Training (paid).
- This Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) is available for both active duty and reserve service in the United States Army.
Basic Eligibility Requirements:
- Age: Between 17 and 35 years old.
- Medical, Moral, Physical: Possess good moral standing, be physically capable, and meet medical standards.
- Citizenship: Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card.
- Education: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
