Position Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for executing PET/CT and nuclear medicine procedures while upholding departmental standards in line with established Policies and Procedures. This role requires staying informed about new techniques and procedures. The technologist will work independently under limited supervision, performing PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine testing. The role demands a service-oriented individual capable of exercising independent judgment, initiative, and strict adherence to radiation safety management protocols. Internal interactions will primarily involve patient care staff, while external interactions will include patients, families, physicians, and peers.

Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree in a science or health care field is preferred.
  • Certification as CMNT (NMTCB), ARRT (N), or equivalent, or registry eligible with the exam to be taken within one year of employment.
  • Certification with the State of Washington Department of Health.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) is preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of and/or experience in computerized tomography is desirable.
