Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Hopedale Medical Complex. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Responsibilities- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the surgical process.
- Monitor and record patient vitals pre-operation, providing critical information to the surgical team.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment, ensuring the highest standards of infection control.
- Document every aspect of the operation, including patient information, surgical procedures, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Escort patients to the recovery room post-operation, providing emotional support and reassurance.
- Clean and maintain the operating room, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
- Account for all surgical tools and equipment, ensuring accurate inventory and maintenance.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and ancillary personnel.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and implement new procedures and technologies.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development, with a focus on perioperative nursing and surgical care.
