Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, presents an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Engineer for MDA Engineering Management. This role involves delivering technical engineering support to MDA's Director for Engineering (MDA/DE) Engineering Management (MDA/DER). MDA/DER consolidates all necessary functions to oversee the MDA engineering enterprise, encompassing infrastructure and program controls; technical assessments for personnel and business operations; financial planning; and the development and coordination of MDA/DE policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert engineering guidance to the government client regarding the management of engineering personnel, including recruitment, training, career development, performance evaluation, and recognition.
  • Offer technical engineering assistance to MDA/DE and engineering contracts, task orders, and inter-agency support agreements.
  • Conduct annual assessments of the engineering functional workforce to identify labor category and skill set needs.
  • Perform gap analyses and deliver analysis results.
  • Suggest resource reallocation, educational initiatives, and strategic plans to address deficiencies in engineering functions, processes, and evaluations.
  • Support internal controls and asset management.
  • Prepare, staff, and present mandatory Inter/Intra-Agency Acquisition Review (IAR), Manager's Internal Controls Program (MICP), and property accountability briefings. This includes evaluating compliance with DoD requirements and reporting discrepancies for Agency programs. Prepare and coordinate meeting-related materials including technical assessments and reports, white papers, briefing documents, courses of action, contingency plans, implementation strategies, technical concurrence memoranda, decision memoranda, audit responses, action item file responses, after-action reports, executive summaries, meeting summaries, action tracking, and issue sheet comments.
  • Engage in formal tasking and staffing processes as an action officer, including managing staffing process controls to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with US government budgeting and the Program Objective Memorandum process.
  • Proficiency in using and maintaining large databases and extensive spreadsheets.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of complex engineering programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational abilities to convey technical concepts.
  • Active Secret clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Capability to work independently, as part of a team, or in a leadership role, applying engineering principles to resolve engineering/scientific challenges. Comprehensive practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge. Familiarity with missile defense system components and mission. Understanding of DoD and MDA processes and procedures. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with multiple organizations and leadership. Proficient in Microsoft software applications. Capacity to execute and complete tasks autonomously. Willingness to travel 20-25% to various locations. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary..
