About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Administrator to join our team at Saxon Global. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing information technology systems that drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Perform all administration tasks for the BI tool Tableau, ensuring seamless data visualization and reporting.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with project managers, managers, architects, directors, and VPs to set strategies and implement procedures that drive business outcomes.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical support and software upgrades for applications, ensuring optimal system performance and user experience.
  • Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and minimize downtime.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with developers, architects, system administrators, and software analysts to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: In-depth administration experience within the BI tool Tableau, proficiency in installing, configuring, and administering Tableau Server, and strong knowledge of best practices around dashboard and report visualization.
  • Education: BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 8 years of experience designing or configuring systems and/or applications, 4 years of relational database design and maintenance, and experience working in the telecommunications industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Linux Administration: Experience with Linux administration and proficiency in installing, configuring, and administering Tableau Server on Linux OS.
  • Tableau Data Extracts: Experience creating Tableau Data Extracts, publishing to Tableau server, and scheduling on-demand to refresh Tableau Data Extract to get the updated data from the original data source.
  • Tableau Server Environment: Experience upgrading Tableau Server environment in large clusters (10 nodes or more setup and design).
