Job Title: Medical Director, Neonatology

Connecticut Children's is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Neonatology department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical direction, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the highest quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and direction to the Neonatology team, ensuring that all patients receive exceptional care.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate evidence-based practice recommendations and develop new initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Quality and Safety Officer to implement standard clinical practices and improve patient safety.
  • Participate in administrative activities, including budgeting, staffing, and resource planning.
  • Represent the department in various committees and forums, promoting the mission and values of Connecticut Children's.
Requirements:
  • MD or DO degree required.
  • Active CT Physician license and DEA certification.
  • Board eligible or certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • 7 years of experience in Neonatology, with 5 years of leadership experience.
