Postdoctoral Fellow Opportunity

New York Institute of Technology's College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team. This is an NIH grant-funded position located at our Old Westbury campus.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage individual laboratory experiments, implementing experimental design, data collection, statistical analysis, writing, and submitting manuscripts.
  • Train and oversee research data collection by students, lab technicians, and junior postdoctoral fellows.
  • Assist with and write grant proposals.
  • Attend and present at seminars/journal clubs.
Qualifications:
  • PhD, MD, DO, DVM, DDS, or other doctoral-level biomedical degree and basic biomedical research in molecular biology and neuroscience.
  • General knowledge of molecular biology and cell biology.
  • Strong background in neuroscience, particularly in dopaminergic neural circuits.
  • Experience with animal behavioral and physiological assessment.
  • Ability to search and analyze literature, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, implement experiments, analyze data, and prepare and submit publications.
