Job Opportunity

New York Institute of Technology is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at the College of Osteopathic Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in molecular biology and neuroscience.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing individual laboratory experiments, implementing experimental designs, collecting and analyzing data, and writing and submitting manuscripts. Additionally, they will train and oversee research data collection by students, lab technicians, and junior postdoctoral fellows. The candidate will also assist with and write grant proposals, attend and present at seminars/journal clubs, and contribute to the development of research projects.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must hold a PhD, MD, DO, DVM, DDS, or other doctoral level biomedical degree. They must have a strong background in molecular biology and cell biology, as well as experience with animal behavioral and physiological assessment. A strong background in neuroscience, particularly in dopaminergic neural circuits, is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to search and analyze literature, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, implement experiments, analyze data, and prepare and submit publications.
