Job Summary

The Clinical Diabetes Educator will provide education and support to patients with diabetes, their families, and healthcare workers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diabetes management and be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement education programs for patients with diabetes
  • Provide individualized education and support to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Assess patient needs and develop plans to meet those needs
  • Stay current with best practices in diabetes management and education

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a clinical profession
  • At least one year of direct patient care and/or education experience
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Certified Diabetes Educator status from the National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) or certification obtained within two years of date of hire
