Flight Paramedic or Flight Nurse- North Platte, NE

Air Methods Clinical is seeking a highly skilled Flight Paramedic or Flight Nurse to join our team in North Platte, NE. As a Flight Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing life-saving medical transport to the community.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality pre-hospital advanced life support care, including assessment, triage, and treatment, utilizing standards and guidelines established by Air Methods Community Base Services (CBS) Medical Director(s).
- Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize the care needed for the safe transport of critical patients to the appropriate facility.
- Maintain thorough patient care documentation and communicate educational needs to the Medical Base Supervisor and Medical Education Coordinator.
- Participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills.
- Knowledgeable in using and maintaining all equipment and supplies used by Air Methods CBS, and responsible for reporting medical equipment failures and taking initial steps to ensure equipment repair as directed.
- Function as a medical flight member by attending pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings, and completing necessary documentation.
- Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and assist pilot as requested, and comply with safety standards to assure the safety of self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least three years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years' recent experience in a busy 911 system.
- Previous critical care transport and flight experience a plus.
