RN - Emergency Medicine Specialist

Key Responsibilities
* Effectively use the nursing process to deliver patient care that meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
* Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies to ensure that patients and their families receive the information and support they need to manage their care effectively.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
* Utilize data and information to evaluate and improve patient care processes, identifying opportunities for quality improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
* Current RN license in the state of practice.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
* Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification within 30 days of hire.
* Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire.
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
* Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
* Certification in a clinical specialty area.
Work Environment
This role requires working in a fast-paced emergency department environment, with frequent exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and must be able to stand for long periods of time. The work environment is dynamic and requires flexibility and adaptability.
