REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in IT software development. Supervisory experience and a master's degree are advantageous.
  • Experience in a dynamic manufacturing setting is beneficial. Familiarity with corporate audit programs (e.g., SOX) and system/procedure experience is a plus.
  • 8+ years in a development or leadership role within high-performance software development or engineering teams, delivering world-class solutions, including:
    • Proven technical leadership in steering software development strategies, mentoring, and fostering technical growth in others.
    • Leading a software development team in the design, coding, testing, and deployment of software solutions using contemporary development methodologies and best practices.
    • Oversight of medium to large-scale change initiatives aimed at enhancing business processes.
    • Technical program management experience in identifying business needs and delivering effective solutions.
    • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise computing, PaaS, and IaaS products.
  • Software Development Expertise
    • Comprehensive understanding of software development tools, programming languages, and methodologies such as SOLID principles, clean architecture, DevOps, web services, TDD, CI/CD, and design patterns.
    • Extensive experience in developing cloud PaaS solutions.
    • Thorough knowledge of web services architecture and concepts (REST API, JSON, SOAP).
    • Proficient in integrating solutions using ETL/ELT concepts and tools (SSIS, Data Factory).
    • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and ALM methodologies.
    • Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems and databases.
    • Comfortable using collaboration tools such as MS Teams.
  • 3+ years of experience with ERP integrations (SAP HANA experience is a plus)
    • Understanding of using integrations, bolt-ons, and cloud-based solutions to enhance ERP systems.
    • Experience in process development, project management, and release scheduling for ERP implementations.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Eligibility to work in ITAR environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster relationships, build effective teams, and create networks that span the organization.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management:
    • Articulate technical solutions in business language to various functional areas such as Operations, R&D, Quality, and Finance.
    • Establish goals and priorities for new initiatives.
    • Enhance process management.
    • Develop deployment strategies.
    • Define project deliverables.
    • Specify testing requirements.
  • Design, develop, and support scalable, highly available solutions through process management or application development.
  • Review and enhance business processes, best practices, and application utilization to achieve greater efficiency during implementations, upgrades, and transitions.
  • Ensure project management methodologies are applied to all solutions and critical issue resolutions, including communication plans, training strategies, impact assessments, and resistance management.
  • Lead project discovery efforts to define requirements, assess business impacts, and identify potential resistance areas.
  • Drive successful engagement, organizational assessments, impact analyses, training, communication, business readiness, deployment, and adoption metrics throughout projects.
    • Develop and implement strategies to ensure user adoption and proficiency of all ESD solutions while minimizing overall risk.
  • Collaborate, monitor, and manage the costs associated with software development resources.
  • Establish and review team development metrics and KPIs with management.
  • Develop application validation and testing schedules to ensure quality and process compliance for new programs, patches, and processes.
  • Resolve system, application, and process issues by leveraging systems, applications, analysts, business functional experts, vendors, and contract personnel as necessary.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to clarify business practices and resolve any issues.
  • Possess the ability to think abstractly and navigate ambiguous or undefined challenges.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
  • Exhibit a history of teamwork and a willingness to actively contribute to achieving goals.
  • Be open to occasional domestic or international travel.
  • Be flexible with work schedules as needed to collaborate with offshore development teams.
  • Meet eligibility requirements for working in ITAR environments.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and speaking English.
