Position Overview:

The Cash Management Specialist is tasked with executing cash office functions with precision and efficiency. This role involves verifying and reviewing lane tracking, processing daily refunds, managing paid-outs, handling various deposits, and performing additional responsibilities to ensure that the work shift aligns with the store's best interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company records and financial data to prevent unauthorized access at all times.
  • Oversee front-end operations to ensure compliance with store policies in handling transactions, including cash, checks, debit/credit cards, and other payment methods.
  • Adhere to all regulations concerning the sale of restricted items.
  • Operate the cash register, display customer purchase totals, provide change, cash checks, and issue receipts.
  • Possess knowledge of product locations within the store to assist customers effectively.
  • Implement all relevant security measures and cash drawer accounting procedures.
  • Report any issues related to pricing, cash registers, scales, or other cash office concerns to management.
  • Maintain accurate records for cash controls to facilitate internal audits.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers.
  • Ensure the store remains clean, appealing, and welcoming to customers.
  • Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Guidelines.
  • Follow Food Safety and Cleaning Standards.
  • Adhere to Guest Experience Protocols.
  • May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer service needs.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of experience in retail or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
  • Basic mathematical skills are essential.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, etc.).
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. The position may require lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The Associate is expected to stand and walk for extended periods and may frequently bend, stoop, twist, and turn. The work environment is typical of a retail store, with varied temperatures and exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is generally low to moderate.
