We are currently seeking a Facilities Support Specialist to enhance our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to address service requests related to the upkeep of grounds, buildings, living spaces, equipment, and vehicles efficiently and economically.
- Maintenance tasks may involve: repairing wall and floor coverings; fixing furniture and fixtures; conducting basic plumbing tasks; executing minor electrical repairs; servicing appliances; and engaging in painting and refurbishment projects.
- Support the implementation of the preventative maintenance strategy.
- Assist with the maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, pumps, refrigeration units, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
- Conduct maintenance on carpets and hard surface flooring.
- Perform deep cleaning and prepare resident suites as assigned.
- Assist with fire safety and emergency preparedness procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred technical school education.
- One year of experience in maintenance and/or housekeeping is preferred.
- Basic technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and code compliance is essential.
- General understanding of OSHA regulations, fire safety, and life safety standards is required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently is necessary.
