Machinist Technician

Join Prescott Metal as a skilled Machinist to work in our Conway, New Hampshire division. We are seeking experienced professionals with a strong background in CNC machining and a passion for precision.

We are looking for a highly skilled Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CNC machining and a strong understanding of machine tool operations. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.

• Program, setup, operate, and shut down CNC milling machines following established procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Maintain a log of preventive maintenance and ensure all safety devices are in place and operational.
• Measure work-piece dimensions to ensure quality and repeatability.
• Design or recommend tooling to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Notify the Production Manager of worn or broken tooling.
• Adjust set pressure and tool clearance as needed.
• Set cut dimensions using computer controls from print details.
• Alert supervisor of any problems and suggest changes to improve efficiency.

• High school/technical school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CNC machining.
• Ability to carry out instructions and interpret Job Travelers (work orders).
• Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and job specifications.
• Ability to identify material types and gauges.
