Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Master Griller and Steak Artisan who excels at creating memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced line kitchen. The ideal candidate will thrive on grill work, have a passion for culinary skills development, and be able to adapt to changing priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Steak Preparation and Service: Prepare, grill, and serve various steak cuts to specification in a high-volume setting.
- Culinary Excellence: Ensure steaks meet restaurant standards by supervising cooking methods, timing, and internal quality specifications.
- Timing Coordination: Coordinate timing with other cooks for seamless service.
- Special Requests and Accommodations: Accommodate special requests and dietary restrictions as directed by the Executive Chef.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace aligned with health and safety standards.
- Professional Communication: Communicate professionally with coworkers.
- AMA Initiatives: Support AMA initiatives and programs as requested.
- Closing Duties: Complete closing duties, organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing the workspace.
- Experience: 3 years of relevant experience with a focus on high-end, high-volume steak or broiler cooking.
- Culinary Education: Culinary degree preferred but not required.
- Culinary Proficiency: Proficiency with grill equipment, including broilers and salamanders, and basic math skills for food preparation and ordering.
- Communication: Ability to read food orders in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Certifications: ServSafe Certification/Food Handlers.
