As a key member of our staff, you will provide essential psychotherapy services to high-risk offenders, utilizing evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address psychological barriers and promote emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate virtual and onsite group and individual psychotherapy sessions for high-risk offenders.
- Develop and implement evidence-based cognitive behavioral interventions.
- Conduct group therapy sessions with clearly defined goals, focusing on topics such as trauma, substance abuse, grief, and mental illness.
- Document progress notes in the RSC SMART case management system.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with RSC staff to develop individualized treatment plans that address each resident's specific needs.
Requirements:
- Master's degree from a CSWE-accredited program in clinical social work.
- Full, unrestricted license to practice clinical social work in the District of Columbia or a U.S. state.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, preferably in a forensic or correctional setting.
- Strong background in conducting cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and working with high-risk populations.
