Job Summary:
The Biomedical Equipment Specialist will be responsible for the installation, repair, calibration, preventive maintenance, electrical safety, and performance verification of medical equipment. This role involves both bench and field service, including working at the board/module level with assistance or direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of medical equipment to prevent downtime and ensure accuracy
- Conduct electrical safety checks and perform repairs as needed
- Verify the performance of medical equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications
- Float between facilities and clinics as needed to provide support and maintenance
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience as a Biomed Tech in a medical setting, preferably in hospitals
- Manufacturer-trained or equivalent experience with Physiological Monitoring Systems (Philips, GE, Welch Allyn)
- Manufacturer-trained or equivalent experience with Anesthesia Systems (GE Avance, Aestiva)
- Manufacturer-trained or equivalent experience with Dialysis Systems (Fresenius 2008 Series)
- AK license required (can apply after offer; must be licensed prior to starting)
- BLS certification
