Role OverviewThis position provides direct nursing care to patients in the Inpatient Unit (IPU), their families, interdisciplinary group management, coordination of patient and family services, and evaluation of appropriate hospice care through development of the Hospice plan of care.
Daily Responsibilities- Provide symptom management and patient assessment
- Document assessments, interventions, and updates
- Develop and coordinate patient plans of care
- Educate patients and family members
- Communicate with medical providers onsite
- Average of 6 patients per day
- Support other staff members and team members
- Train and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

Challenges and RewardsHospice care involves dealing with grief, but it's also incredibly rewarding work. We find joy in being able to comfort patients, help them feel cared for, and make a difference in their lives.
