At Northwestern Medicine, we are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team in the Vascular Surgery department. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultrasound technology and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for performing two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of peripheral vascular systems, as well as maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of peripheral vascular systems
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
  • Use independent judgment in performing ultrasound procedures
  • Assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure and make appropriate physician contact for intervention
  • Enter test data and patient information into computer of ultrasound equipment
  • Perform all quality control checks, as prescribed

Requirements:

  • Ultrasound Technician Certificate from accredited school
  • BLS certification
  • Basic computer knowledge

Preferred:

  • Graduate of AMA approved training program in ultrasonography
  • Registered Vascular Tech
