Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dialysis Charge Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for supervising nursing personnel, ensuring the highest quality patient care, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise nursing personnel to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and maximize resources to align patient needs with staff capabilities and experience
  • Manage clinic operations, adhering to safety and staffing guidelines in the absence of management
  • Communicate patient status to physicians, implement, and document orders
  • Participate in patient care conferences, medical rounds, and chart review, documenting progress notes
  • Contribute to risk management, QAPI, and infection control committees
  • Supervise initial and ongoing patient education, reviewing and documenting patient education to ensure compliance with ESRD Network, regulatory agencies, DCI's CQI Program, and individual clinic requirements
  • Manage monthly patient lab work in accordance with clinic policies and protocols
  • Oversee primary nursing teams and non-licensed staff for completion of assignments
  • Support training of new staff members, as directed and supervised by the education coordinator, clinical supervisor, and/or nurse manager
  • Provide feedback and assist the nurse manager with staff performance reviews
  • Function as an expert resource for clinical staff
Qualifications
  • Current PA RN license
  • One year of dialysis nursing experience required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
