Job Overview

Reports To: Sous Chef/Executive Chef

Summary: As a Kitchen Sanitation Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the dishwashing area and assisting in the overall upkeep of the kitchen and dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Thoroughly wash all utensils, plates, and cookware used in the restaurant, banquets, and kitchen.
  2. Ensure cleanliness of workstations and uphold sanitation standards in the dishwashing area and other kitchen zones.
  3. Perform sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors, coolers, dry storage areas, and any other locations as directed by the supervisor, including trash disposal.
  4. Assist in cleaning up spills that may occur in the dining or kitchen areas.
  5. Support table busing during peak service times in the restaurant.
  6. Maintain the dishwashing station, including changing soaps, cleaning the dish machine, and washing walls and sinks.
  7. Engage in additional cleaning tasks as assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
  8. Participate in basic food preparation as needed.
  9. Explore opportunities for career advancement within the organization.
