We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Balchem Corporation. Key Responsibilities- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all quality standards and procedures are maintained, and administer all quality procedures, GMPs, HACCP programs, environmental sanitation, and housekeeping.
- Production Oversight: Supervise production associates, delegate work assignments, prioritize duties, and schedule employees to optimize production and sanitation functions as needed.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare manufacturing performance reports and track metrics to ensure that production goals are met.
- Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to build a culture of operational excellence and drive continuous improvement.
- Training and Development: Oversee the training of new and current employees to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Process Improvement: Review systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance methods, equipment performance, and personnel utilization.
- Technical Support: Serve as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems regarding production, quality, and safety.
- Administrative Tasks: Ensure the completion of all required paperwork, including records, sanitation, inspection, inventory, charts, and maintenance work orders.
- Policy Administration: Administer related company policies and procedures.
- Safety and Quality: Active involvement in safety and quality initiatives, including investigations, RCA, and CAPAs.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years leadership experience with knowledge of drying powder systems.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record as a coach and counselor, with the ability to plan, organize, direct, and motivate people to ensure potential for further advancement through professional development.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative to drive success.
- Experience: Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S organization is a plus.
The plant environment involves working in conditions that may be noisy, wet, slippery, and hot. The job responsibilities require the Production Supervisor to do a significant amount of walking while on the job, engaging employees on the production floor, and performing duties of the production associates and maintenance in a secondary support role, if needed.
