Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Join our team as a Field Service Engineer and take on the challenge of providing on-site repair and service support for Gatan's full product range. This role requires up to 80% travel and offers a unique opportunity to work with complex lab equipment and systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, service, and repair Gatan products, including SEM/TEM systems, at customer sites.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers, ensuring they are proficient in using our products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve product performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve our products and services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills, with experience in electronics, mechanics, and software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel frequently, with occasional international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a service technician for complex lab equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of electron microscopes, sample preparation equipment, and semiconductor equipment.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to train and teach technical information to users.
