About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Specialist PRN to join our team at Texas Health Resources. As a Nuclear Medicine Specialist PRN, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures, maintaining equipment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing:
    • Explain procedures to patients or guardians/family members prior to exams.
    • Position patients to correct anatomical areas of interest.
  • Patient Care:
    • Use multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions.
    • Assess and recognize patients' emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
    • Adjust technical factors.
    • Operate, care for, and maintain equipment.
  • Professional Accountability and Partnership:
    • Maintain and enhance technical skills and technology advancements.
    • Perform assignments deemed necessary by supervisors.
Requirements
  • Education:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine.
    • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 2 years in nuclear medicine preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Medicine upon hire required.
    • CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist upon hire required.
    • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required.
    • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
