Facilities Technician

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at Gallery Residential.
This is a full-time position, estimated to pay between $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and location. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to resident requests, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing assigned work orders within 24-48 hours, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance.
- Performing the 'make-ready' process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing pre-move-out inspections and scheduling vendors as needed.
- Assisting in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, and performing general cleaning and painting as needed.
- Supporting cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible, not being wasteful with materials and supplies, and practicing proper tool usage.
Requirements:
- Employment history demonstrating safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management and answer questions related to department operating policies.
- Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to complete basic maintenance duties.
- Demonstrated ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
