Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team on a travel assignment in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to work with a reputable medical facility while experiencing the charm of the Heart of Dixie.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per 13-week assignment (based on 40 hours/week and 10-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist electrophysiologists in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiac rhythm disorders.
- Operate specialized equipment such as catheters, pacemakers, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning, gowning, and preparing equipment.
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of patient data, including vital signs, medications, and procedure outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Current certification as an Electrophysiology Technician (EPT) or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- At least 2 years of experience in electrophysiology or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
