Primary Duties:

  • Direct and manage the routine activities of the finance department, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll operations.
  • Guarantee the timely and precise completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
  • Examine and authorize journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial transactions to confirm accuracy and adherence to organizational policies and GAAP standards.
  • Compile and evaluate financial statements, reports, and budgets to assist management in making informed decisions.
  • Supervise the preparation of tax submissions and liaise with external auditors during the auditing process.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to boost efficiency and precision.
  • Educate, mentor, and provide performance evaluations to finance personnel, promoting a cooperative and high-achieving team atmosphere.
  • Detect and resolve financial discrepancies and challenges, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to optimize processes, enhance financial workflows, and support organizational initiatives.
  • Remain updated on financial regulations, industry developments, and best practices to ensure the organization stays compliant and competitive.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other financial principles and practices.
  • Expertise in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Famous, etc.) and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the capacity to manage and inspire a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements, budgeting, and audit processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or agriculture sector is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced financial reporting tools.
  • Understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
