Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist - Schools

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Therapeutic Services, A Member of the Point Quest Group. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to students in schools, working collaboratively with educational teams to support student communication and language development.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and provide individual, group, and classroom-based therapeutic services to students consistent with speech and language goals as written in the Individual Education Plans (IEP).
  • Evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of treatment/response to therapy interventions (RTI) to identify student progress and/or determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
  • Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions to determine eligibility for services by making decisions based on what is best for the student.
  • Develop clinical management strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements by interpreting observations or data.
  • Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and understand communication deficits in students.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents about the student's therapy goals and educational needs.
  • Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process to assist in interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with communication disorders or conditions according to district procedures.
  • Prepare and submit, as directed, all case documentation, including evaluation data, treatments, clinical and progress notes and required billing information according to company policy.
  • Write and maintain confidential client case notes and reports.
  • Maintain an attendance register in accordance with the Service Page of the IEP and the Individual Service Agreement (ISA) for each student.
  • Adapt educational materials and equipment to provide intervention and/or meet the individual student's needs.
  • Collect data on student achievements to document activities, prepare reports and/or updating IEP logs.
  • Maintain and prepare a variety of manual and electronic materials (e.g., charts, logs, records and/or reports) to document activities, provide written reference, convey information, and/or comply with mandated requirements.
  • Maintain high and low-tech augmentative communication devices and equipment and have familiarity with symbol-based software such as Boardmaker Online.
  • Supervise the work of speech-language pathology assistant(s).
  • Current, active TX state license as a Speech Language Pathologist, or be eligible for licensure.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
  • Computer-literate; knowledge of standard company software applications, internet
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient language and communication skills, including business writing and professional telephone manners.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, or be eligible for licensure
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
  • Computer-literate; knowledge of standard company software applications, internet
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient language and communication skills, including business writing and professional telephone manners.
