As a Culinary Nutrition Specialist, your primary role will be to create visually appealing and delicious meals that meet the dietary requirements of our patients and residents. This includes:
- Preparing daily meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring a 12-hour shift coverage.
- Utilizing established recipes and production charts to cater to the specific food preferences and dietary needs of patients and residents.
- Ensuring safe food preparation practices, including proper thawing techniques and temperature monitoring of meat products.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in work and food storage areas, including proper dating and sanitization of cooking materials.
- Delivering exceptional customer service with a professional demeanor to all customers, including patients, families, and staff.
- Assisting patients and residents in menu selection and addressing their dietary service needs.
- Collaborating effectively with team members to achieve shared objectives.
- Participating in the onboarding and training of new staff members.
- Staying current with all required training programs and ensuring adherence to departmental policies and safety protocols.
- Overseeing equipment and supply management, including preventive maintenance and reporting needs to supervisory staff.
- Upholding confidentiality regarding patient information.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food service and safety.
