About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Acquisition Specialist to support the Defense Health Agency in the National Capital Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in drafting and developing Statements of Work (SOW), Statements of Objectives, Performance Work Statements, and Performance-Based SOWs.
  • Communicate and interact with Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) on a daily basis, with knowledge of COR functions.
  • Monitor and process Procurement Requests.
  • Support the development of acquisition strategies and plans.
  • Assist in developing Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
  • Assist in preparing and drafting Market Research documentation.
  • Track contract expenditures and assist with Contract Closeout.
  • Assist in the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Administrative Policies in acquisition support.
  • Participate in reporting and analysis activities in support of project management and quarterly Review and Analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum of 10 years of experience or 14 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success as a highly organized self-starter, with attention to detail, multitasking various priorities under deadline, and experience in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to undertake new projects and ability to learn new systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to pass a government background check.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
