Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Food and Beverage Team Member to join our team at CoralTree Hospitality. As a key member of our In-Room Dining department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Serve guest meals with high accuracy in a timely manner.
  • Answer all menu knowledge and allergy awareness to the guests.
  • Follow all Forbes standards of service.
  • Retrieve tables from guest rooms and floors in an organized and accurate manner.
  • Ensure supplies are properly stocked.
  • Clean, clear, and set up tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and silverware in an unobtrusive manner.
  • Assist F&B operations when coverage is needed.
  • Assist with guest requests.
  • Maintain a safe and pleasant work environment.
  • Instill a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations.
  • Guarantee the cleanliness and safety of IRD equipment.
  • Ensure service standards are being applied.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of workspace.
  • Promote high associate morale.
  • Resolve guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of food & beverage trends, focusing on IRD.
  • Provide general resort information for guests.
  • Offer warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Terranea Resort, including use of guest name and good eye contact with each guest.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events.
  • Interact with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Communicate all pertinent information to team members.
  • Maintain constant awareness of safety issues (e.g., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons). Report all safety incidents to on-duty supervisors.
  • Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment, china, glass, and silver.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow all Terranea Resort dress code standards.
  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-house employees.
  • Practice effective listening: seek to understand.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.
  • Subscribe to proper grooming, dress, and uniform standards as set forth by Company policy.
  • Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

Requirements:

  • Able to maintain a professional appearance and adhere to Terranea Resort dress code standards.
  • Able to effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-house employees.
  • Able to practice effective listening: seek to understand.
  • Able to perform related duties as required.
  • Able to be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.
  • Able to subscribe to proper grooming, dress, and uniform standards as set forth by Company policy.
  • Able to be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Able to lift food trays plates weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, and pulling, lifting tables and chairs is required.
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, or ramps.

Compensation:

Base Pay Start Rate: $16/Hr.
