Job Title: Senior Virtualization Network Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Virtualization Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualized network environments for our Department of Defense customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement virtualized network architectures using VMware NSX and Cisco switches and routers
  • Develop and maintain secure baseline configurations of Cisco switches and routers to DISA STIG level requirements
  • Analyze and troubleshoot network traffic management issues within VMware NSX
  • Configure vRealize Operations (vROPS) to monitor and optimize VMware NSX performance
  • Implement automation strategies to streamline network configuration processes
Requirements:
  • Expert-level knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 networking
  • Knowledge of VMware NSX design, operation, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of remote-access and dynamic multipoint VPN solutions
  • US Citizenship and active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • 9 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience with a PhD
  • Core understanding of VMware vCenter and ESXi
  • Ability to develop automation scripts to deploy, configure, and maintain network components
  • CCNP level or higher networking certification
  • VCAP-NV level or higher networking certification
