By Light Professional IT Services is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer Level IV to support our team.
This position will provide NetOps support to the Joint Network Operations Center (JNOC), developing engineering solutions, recommending design solutions, and conducting cybersecurity mitigations to comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) cybersecurity requirements.
The successful candidate will ensure proper routing protocols are applied to optimize end-to-end network performance from the Local Area Network (LAN) to the Wide Area Network (WAN), Campus Area Network (CAN), Storage Area Network (SAN), or data center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the government in identifying derived design objectives, technical specifications, performance requirements, and interoperability specifications to ensure the system design meets stakeholder end-to-end requirements.
- Develop, review, and update briefings, papers, or spreadsheets in support of this task.
- Implement interior gateway protocols (IGP), external gateway protocol (EGP), Multi-protocol Label and Switching (MPLS), Virtual Routing & Forwarding (VRF), Network Function Virtualization (NFV)/Service Chaining, and Software Defined Networking (SDN) on an enterprise network to meet security, performance, operational, and functional requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience and professional certification with architecting, designing, testing, troubleshooting, and implementing enterprise network solutions.
- CCNP RS and CCNP Security certifications (one could be waived with experience).
Security Clearance:
Top Secret required with ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
