UF Health is seeking a skilled Environmental Services Floor Finisher I to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services Department, you will be responsible for performing major cleaning and refinishing functions in accordance with standard procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and service building areas according to established procedures
  • Move furniture and supplies within the hospital
  • Perform a variety of Environmental Services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition
  • Operate cleaning devices, including automatic floor equipment, 20' roto, commercial vacuums, 24 oz. wet mops, wringers, and other necessary equipment, tools, and supplies

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and skills to detect equipment malfunctions for safety
  • Completion of the department's training program within the probationary period

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced hospital environment. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
