Job Title: Family Resources Coordinator - Early Support for Infants

**Job Summary:**

Children's Therapy Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Resources Coordinator to join our team in South Pierce County, WA. As a Family Resources Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating access to early support services for families of qualifying children ages 0-3. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the family's primary contact person while they receive early support services, ensuring that all services are provided in compliance with Part C regulations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Family Support and Coordination: Facilitate the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) for each family, providing family supports and helping each child reach their full potential.
  • Service Coordination: Ensure that services are provided in natural environments within the home and community settings.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to conduct family-centered, strengths-based screenings, evaluations, and ongoing assessments to inform eligibility determination and contribute to full evaluation reports.
  • Cultural Competence: Understand and educate parents and caregivers on the wide range of children's development across individual, cultural, and community differences.
  • Coaching and Support: Provide caregivers with culturally relevant support in the home, natural environment, and/or telehealth, utilizing a coaching model that promotes health, well-being, and development of the whole child.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with caregivers and work collaboratively with community members and multi-disciplinary ESIT team to meet family's needs.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Participate as an active member of the ESIT team during team meetings, staffing, in-services, peer coaching/consultation, and ensure compliance with Children's Therapy Center's, IDEA Part B & C's processes, policies, and timelines.

**Requirements:**

  • Education and Experience: AA degree or relevant experience in field related to social services or early child development, Bachelor's degree preferred. Master's degree, also encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of child development (birth to three), relevant education and/or experience working with families and young children in multi-cultural settings, strong communication and listening skills, organized and detail-oriented, ability to anticipate potential challenges, and adjust to changes as needed.
  • Certifications and Training: Experience and training in infant mental health, psychotherapy, and attachment theory, experience and training in related systems (i.e. foster care/child welfare), current CPR and First Aid certification, required.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual, English-and Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.

Children's Therapy Center offers equitable and competitive pay commensurate with job-related experience and education. The pay rate range for this position is $ dependent on related experience and education. Eligible employees can enroll in our retirement plan with their first paycheck and will be eligible for company contributions after their first year of employment.
